How to start Website Audit

The website audit starts automatically when you create a new project. You will be able to monitor the crawling process, see the completion percentage, as well as the queue position, if several projects have been created in your account.

When the report is ready, you will find general information about the total number of crawled pages, passed checks and fixes in the upper section. The graphs show the dynamics of changes made to the website compared to the previous period. There you’ll also find general domain information.

The audit report will provide information on over 70 checked website parameters.
1. Green color and a tick – there are no problems with this parameter.
2. Red color and a cross mark – there are serious problems that requires your immediate attention.
3. Orange color and an exclamation mark – there is an important note for you to check.

If the parameter suggests links to the pages, you can view them.

When you click the Link icon, you will see a list of URLs that you can visit and export.

How to restart the audit

Website audits should be carried out regularly, because new errors that appear have to be corrected right away. The service will indicate the last time you ran an audit. To restart the audit, click the respective button.

If you do not update the report, you will not be able to view the links that are attached to many parameters.

You can restart the audit manually at any time – not only when you see a warning message. We recommend doing this after making significant changes to the site – like adding new pages, updating content, and so on. You can also set up automated website scanning (once a week or once a month) under Settings.

How to download and send reports

You can download a report in the .PDF format. To do this, click the “Download report” button.

In the pop-up window, tick the checkboxes that should be included in the report:

  • pages with important fixes (marked with a red cross that require urgent attention);
  • pages with semi-important fixes (marked with an orange exclamation mark and are recommended for correction);

Click “Download Report”.

To send a website audit report via email, go to the Website Audit section and click the respective button.

In the pop-up window, specify the email and confirm the action by clicking the “Send” button.
