Changing report titles and logos

One of the advantages of SE Ranking’s reports is that you have the possibility to brand them by adding your company name and logo, Website Audit reports included. The title appears on each page of SE Ranking reports along with the logo. To add your company name and logo, go to the Report Builder > Templates > select the Default template.

Settings

Clicking on the default template will take you directly to its settings. This is where you can specify which project you need a report and select the date range. The reporting range is flexible and can be set manually if none of the existing options (e.g., last week, last month, etc.) suits your needs. You may also choose the export format for your report and select the language to translate the report contents to. To change the template's name, click the edit button above the settings.

To send your report on a schedule, you can activate the corresponding option and specify the following parameters for sending: frequency (daily/weekly/monthly), day of the week, and time of day (including time zones). You can also add up to 5 recipient email addresses. To save these settings, click the “Save” button in the top right corner of the page.

Sections

Sections are parts of the report that you can add or delete according to your needs. To add a section, click the items from the list or drag and drop the section into the report. Most of these sections are named after our tools, but some are based on data sourced from Google (e.g., Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Search Console).

Most of these sections have multiple subsections, each of which can be added to your report. For example, in “Competitors” you can find sections with a competitor overview, their rankings, search visibility, average position, and traffic forecast trends. On the other hand, “Marketing Plan” has a description section. This makes reporting more convenient; it allows you to write descriptions of your own tasks. You can also change the order of the sections in the report. To move a section, drag and drop it to the desired location.

Formatting

The options presented in this tab are designed to help you perfect your report’s visual and technical elements. You can find the following elements in this tab:

  • Cover page
  • Table of contents
  • Title
  • Text
  • Image
  • Page break

You can drag-n-drop each of them anywhere in your report. Alternatively, you can click the green button (which appears when hovering your mouse over an element) to accomplish the same task.

If you don’t need a header or footer in your report, you can switch them off at any time. After formatting your template, don’t forget to save your edits and click the “Save” button in the top right corner of the page.

Account report

The account report is a general report on all your projects (websites). Such reports can also be both manual and scheduled. To create an account report, go to the Report Builder tab in the top horizontal navigation bar → Manual/Scheduled → press the “ Generate a Report ” button.

Once you start creating a report, find the Account Report at the bottom of the sections list and add it to the report. Then decide which sections of the Account Report you want to see in the report by toggling them on or off.

Get the general information about your account, a particular project or search engine, see query distribution in Top search results, and so on.

Report file formats

PDF
PDF (Portable Document Format) is a cross-platform file format that makes a document convenient to read. It displays the file in the same way on any device with any OS.

HTML
HTML files can be opened via browsers. What is good about this format is that every file has a unique URL address, and you don’t need to sign in to your SE Ranking account to open it.

XLS
This file type refers to an Excel spreadsheet that is also available for exporting as a .CSV file. SEO and marketing professionals mostly prefer this format.
