What else you can do in Competitive Research
Historical data in Competitive Research is a feature that allows you to access detailed research reports for previous months. You can view, filter and export data from any module of the Competitive Research tool for any past month going back to February 2020.
How to access historical data?
Navigate to the Competitive Research tool via the left-hand side menu and run a domain or a URL search. Once you get to the Overview screen, click on the date picker at the top and select a month you’d like to view data for.
That’s it! You can switch between months at any time in any Competitive Research module.
Which target types support historical data?
Historical (month-by-month) data is available only when your search uses the *.domain.com/* target type — a domain together with all of its subdomains. If you run a search in domain.com/* mode or URL mode, or open Competitor Comparison (Organic or Advertising comparison), the month date picker is disabled and a dedicated “no history” message is shown. This is expected behavior, not a data error.
Historical months also require history access on your subscription plan (see Availability above). Without history access, past months stay locked even when you use the *.domain.com/* target type.

To view and copy long-tail keywords, first open the section by clicking “View detailed report”. Then hover over the keyword to see its full version and use the “copy” icon to save it.
Export
Export options are available inside each detailed report. After clicking “View detailed report” for a specific section, you can download the corresponding data in CSV, Excel, or Google Sheets format.
You can select the “Write new brief & article” option in the keyword’s dropdown menu to add keywords to an existing brief or create a new article. All chosen keywords will be added to the article’s list of terms.
