Here you can turn an SE Ranking template into your own Google Data Studio report. Templates open with demo data, so you copy the template and connect it to your project.
To build a report from scratch instead, see Connect SE Ranking to Google Data Studio.
Step 2. Make a copy
Step 3. Rename the report
Step 4. Connect each data source to your project
Step 5. Fix charts that show an error
Step 1. Open a template
- In SE Ranking, open Rank Tracker, Website Audit, or Backlink Checker.
- Click Data Studio and choose a template.
The template opens in Data Studio with demo data. You'll replace it with your project's data in the next steps.
Step 2. Make a copy
- Click the three dots in the upper-right corner and select Make a copy.
- In the popup, click Copy Report.
Step 3. Rename the report
Click the report title and replace the demo domain with your website, for example "Positions overview - yourwebsite.com".
Step 4. Connect each data source to your project
- Go to Resource → Manage added data sources.
- Next to a data source, click Edit.
- In Project, choose your SE Ranking project and click Next.
- Check the parameters and click Reconnect.
- If a popup asks about parameter sharing, click Allow.
- Click Apply to confirm the connection changes.
- Click Done in the upper-right corner.
Repeat these steps for every data source in the table. When you're done, click Close.
Note: In the same table, you can also remove data sources you don't need or click Add a data source to connect a new one.
Step 5. Fix charts that show an error
If a chart still says "Data Studio cannot connect to your data set", reconnect it:
- Click the chart.
- In the Setup tab on the right, open the Data source dropdown.
- Choose the data source you connected in Step 4.
The chart updates with your project's data. Repeat for each chart that shows an error.
Your report is ready. You can share it with your team or clients from the Share button in Data Studio.
