What transfers and what does not
How to request a project move
Self-serve alternative: export and import with positions history
If you work with more than one SE Ranking account — for example, an agency account plus a client account, one account per market, an account that belonged to a colleague who has left, or have projects under multiple subaccounts — you may need to move a project from one account into another, or merge several accounts into one.
Who performs the move
There is no self-serve way to move a project between SE Ranking accounts. The transfer is performed by the SE Ranking Support team.
Note: Both accounts must be able to accommodate the project. Before requesting the move, make sure the destination account has enough free project and keyword limits on its subscription plan.
What transfers and what does not
Not all project data travels with the project. Check this before you request the move, and export anything you need to keep.
If you need Website Audit, Backlink Monitor, Marketing Plan or Report Builder history, export it from the source account before the move.
How to request a project move
Contact SE Ranking Support and include:
- The email address of the account the project is currently in.
- The email address of the account it should be moved to.
- The name or URL of each project to move.
- Whether you also need AI Results Tracker data carried over.
Sending the request from an email address associated with one of the two accounts helps Support confirm that you are entitled to move the data.
Self-serve alternative: export and import with positions history
If you are consolidating accounts yourself and only need keywords and their ranking history, you can move that data without waiting for Support. Export the keywords and positions from the project in the source account, then in the destination account open Project settings, click Import keywords in the Keywords tab, and choose Import from CSV/XLS with positions history.
The same import screen is described step by step in our migration guides, for example Import keyword ranking history to SE Ranking from Semrush.
