Customize the platform for your clients
Once your account is set up, here's where to start exploring. This article covers the features agencies find most useful early on: connecting your data sources, exploring AI search visibility, keyword and competitor research, reports and templates, local marketing, and branding the platform for clients.

Connect Google Analytics and Google Search Console
Connecting these two accounts early lets SE Ranking pull in traffic and search performance data alongside your rank tracking, so reports and audits reflect the full picture from the start. See Integrations for setup instructions.
Explore AI search visibility
Beyond traditional rankings, you can track how your (or your clients') brand shows up in AI-generated answers: which prompts mention the brand, and how often it's cited as a source. This is a good early feature to try, since it's a differentiator agencies can bring to client conversations. See the AI Toolkit section for details.
Keyword and competitive research
Two tools worth trying early:
- Keyword research: discover new keyword opportunities for a project or domain.
- Competitive research: analyze a competitor's keywords, traffic, and visibility to spot gaps in your own strategy.
Both are covered in SEO Research tools.
Reports and templates
Reports you create in Report Builder are only accessible to the user who created them, but templates work differently: they can be shared with your whole team so everyone can quickly create uniform, client-ready reports.
To share a template, the account owner turns on the sharing option in the template settings. Once enabled, the template becomes available to all users with access to that section.
Local Marketing
If you use the Local Marketing add-on, keep in mind that locations you add are only available to you, whether you're the account owner or an employee. Locations currently can't be shared with other users directly. As an alternative, you can add locations for other users to manage from the "Thank you" page. More details about this add-on can be found in the Local Marketing section.
Customize the platform for your clients
Agencies can adjust branding on client-facing reports and, depending on your plan, the platform itself, so the tools you deliver look like your own. See the Agency Pack section for what's available on your plan.
