How to make a payment for a subscription?
To get started, navigate to the Billing page in your profile and select the plan you’d like to proceed with. Make sure to choose either the monthly or annual billing option.
There are two options for making a payment directly in your account:
- Subscription: Purchase one of our core plans.
- Account Balance: Top up your balance to pay for extra tools, such as Keyword Grouper, Search Engine Autosuggest, Search Volume Checker, or Parameter Checker.
How to apply a discount code?
Once you’re on the checkout page, click Add coupon code and enter your promo code to apply the discount before finalizing the transaction.
How can I buy the Agency Pack?
The Agency Pack is available as an add-on for users on annual Core, Growth, or Enterprise plans.
How to buy: It must be purchased separately and is billed annually together with your main subscription. Go to the Agency Pack section on the pricing page to proceed.
Activation: After payment, new sections and features will open, and limits will be added to your account automatically.
Trial accounts: Trial accounts also have access to the Agency Pack during the trial period.
Do inactive projects count towards account limits?
Even if you deactivate a project, the keywords and backlinks in it will still be considered when calculating your account limits. To free up space, you must delete keywords, backlinks, or entire projects.
What are Legacy plans?
Legacy plans were in use until the October 2024 update, which introduced
new subscription plans with flexible keyword limits. In those Legacy
plans, each added keyword deducted 1 point from the keyword limit regardless
of how many search engines (“targets”)* were used for position tracking.
With Legacy plans, users could only have up to 5 search engines (“targets”)
per project, and positions for all keywords added to a project would
be tracked in all the added search engines.
*In this case, a search engine (“target”) refers to a combination of conditions in which positions are tracked: the selected search engine site (Google, Bing, etc.), the selected country and region in which you track positions, and the search engine interface language.
In
our new plans, the keyword limit is based on the available combinations
of [Keyword] x [Search Engine (“target”)], and its usage depends on the
number of keywords added to projects and the number of search engines
used to track the website positions for each keyword. Note that the number
of search engines can be different from keyword to keyword.
Moreover, Legacy plan subscribers might not have access to some enhanced or new tools introduced in the latest SE Ranking updates. See the table below for a quick comparison of features in the Legacy and New plans:
How does keyword limit calculation work in the new subscription plans?
Limit usage depends on the number of keywords added to the projects and the number of search engines used to track the website positions for each keyword. The number of keyword and search engine combinations you create will be deducted from the available keyword limit provided in your subscription plan.
Example
How can I manage keyword limits effectively?
If you are tight on the keyword limit, we recommend you optimize and prioritize:
- Remove unnecessary keywords: Regularly audit your lists and delete irrelevant keywords.
- Prioritize geographical locations: Focus tracking only on relevant areas (countries, cities, etc.) rather than tracking all.
- Prioritize search engine sites: Concentrate on search engines relevant to your business and target audience.
Can I upgrade my subscription plan anytime?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time.
How to change: Go to Account Settings → Billing and click Buy subscription. Select the plan you’d like to switch to and click Buy.
Cost calculation: The system automatically calculates the price difference between your current plan and the new one. You’ll be able to review the final amount on the checkout page.
Subscription dates: If you don’t change the billing period (for example, monthly to monthly), your new plan keeps the same end date. If you change the period (for example, monthly to annual), the system adjusts the dates; your new subscription starts on the day you make the change and the end date is based on the new period.
Credits for downgrades: If you switch to a lower-priced plan, the unused balance will be credited to your Stripe account. This balance will automatically be used for any future SE Ranking purchases.
I still have an unused subscription. Will I lose it if I upgrade now?
The new plan will be activated instantly once you upgrade. The system automatically calculates your unused subscription’s paid amount and subtracts it from the price of the upgrade, so you’ll only have to cover the difference.
Does the number of keywords refer to a single website or the entire account?
The total number of keywords is available for the entire account. Keywords can be distributed among different projects in any proportion.
How can I buy a subscription plan?
There are a few ways to buy a subscription plan:
- from your trial account Billing page
- from the website Plans & Pricing page
When you select a subscription plan, you will be transferred to the checkout page, where you will be able to select a payment method and submit your payment through Stripe – our partner billing system.
What payment options do you provide for clients?
All payments go through our billing partner, Stripe. We accept card payments by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and others. You can find the full list of supported card brands here. Users can also pay via Google Pay, Apple Pay, Direct Debit, and other payment services. The list of available methods depends on your country and currency and is presented on the payment page.
Where can I find the invoices?
All invoices are available in the Invoices section of your SE Ranking account. You can view or download them at any time.
How do I stop automatic recurring billing?
You can cancel it directly in your account by opening the Billing page > Current plan and clicking the Cancel automatic renewal button.
Why was VAT added to my payment?
Stripe's VAT policy complies with worldwide tax regulations. Currently, VAT is charged for users from European Union countries and the UK.
How can I pay for a subscription plan without VAT?
If you are a business, here is how to avoid paying VAT:
- Check the Billing and tax information box under the payment method block on the checkout page.
- Open the Tax ID information list and select the European VAT number corresponding to your country.
- Fill out the other required fields and complete the purchase.
What is Solo Plan?

Can I pay monthly for a subscription plan?
All our current plans — Core and Growth — are billed on a monthly basis.

To ensure the plan is applied to the correct account:

How to get a refund?
According to the Terms of Use, the Service Administration does not refund paid but unused funds, except for cases of poor service inconsistent with Service obligations or as specified by special promotions.
Please contact our support team for help with the refund procedure.
