Answers to the most common questions about the AI Results Tracker — why your brand can show 0% mentions, and how prompt limits and checks are counted.
How many prompts can I track in the AI Results Tracker?
How is my AI Search usage counted — per project, per engine, or per prompt?
Why am I seeing a "limit reached" message when I add a prompt or website?
Do prompts in paused or inactive projects count toward my limit?
Which AI engines does the AI Results Tracker cover?
Q Why does my brand show 0% mentions even though I can see it in AI answers?
A The most common cause is a mismatch between the brand name set up in your project and the exact way the brand appears in AI answers. Mention (and link) presence is detected by matching your configured brand name against the wording of each AI response, so a variation such as "ION" versus "ION Group" can register as no mention even when the brand clearly appears. Check that the brand name you've entered matches how it is actually written in AI answers, including common variations and any suffix form (for example "Group", "Inc.").
Q How many prompts can I track in the AI Results Tracker?
A You can track up to 100 prompts. This limit is shared account-wide across all your projects — it is not a separate 100 per project. To see how many prompts you're currently using, check the "Prompts" column in the "All projects" dashboard. For help narrowing a large list down to 100, see How to choose which prompts to track.
Q How is my AIRT usage counted — per project, per engine, or per prompt?
A Two separate limits apply:
- Prompt list — up to 100 prompts, counted account-wide across all projects (see above).
- Monthly checks — your plan and AI Search Add-on package each include a set number of checks per month, where 1 check = 1 prompt tracked on 1 AI engine. Tracking a single prompt across all five engines (AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini) uses five checks — one per prompt, per engine.
Worked example: 20 prompts tracked on 3 engines each = 60 checks per refresh. See the AI Search Add-on article for the checks packages.
Q Why am I seeing a "limit reached" message when I add a prompt or website?
A A "limit reached" message appears when your monthly checks are used up — you won't be able to add another prompt or website until the limit renews or you upgrade to a larger package. You can also reach the 100-prompt list cap. Review your current usage in the "All projects" dashboard, then renew, upgrade, or remove prompts you no longer need.
Q Do prompts in paused or inactive projects count toward my limit?
A Yes. The 100-prompt limit is counted across all projects in your account, so prompts set up in any project reduce how many you can add elsewhere. Prompts in inactive projects are still counted — and pausing or archiving a project does not release its prompts either. Only prompts in projects you delete or remove are freed from the count. To free up slots, delete prompts you no longer need or remove the whole project.
Q Which AI engines does the AI Results Tracker cover?
A Five: Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, ChatGPT, and Perplexity.
