How can I check the accuracy of rankings?
The ranking results are taken directly from search engines. We store a cached copy of the search engine results received while checking the rankings.

How can I recheck SE Ranking results in my browser?
Google gathers user data and customizes the results for each and every user. There are over 200 factors that define SERP results. The main ones are previous browser search history, browser language, and location. While checking rankings, we recommend the following:
- Use incognito mode. Searches performed in an incognito window don't take your browsing or search history into account. In Google Chrome, you can open one with Ctrl + Shift + N (Windows) or ⌘ + Shift + N (Mac).
- Use the Google Location Changer tool from SE Ranking. The location you're checking should match the location configured in your project. If your current location is different, use our Google Location Changer to view Google search results for any country, city, county, municipality, location, and language.
Tip: The most reliable way to verify a ranking is to check the live search results (not the cached copy) in an incognito window using the exact location tracked in your project. A logged-in Google session or a different location may produce personalized results that don't match the rankings shown in SE Ranking.

Why do rankings in SE Ranking differ from the results in my browser?
When you enter a query into Google's search box, the search engine displays results based on your preferences and search behavior. That's one of the reasons why rankings shown in SE Ranking can differ from those you see in your browser. SE Ranking shows objective search results that aren't affected by your personal search history.
Several factors can influence the results shown in your browser. The most common are:
- Previous search history. To avoid personalized search results, search in an incognito window.
- Location and browser language. Google determines search results based on your IP address and location. If you want to check rankings for another location, use our Google Location Changer. It lets you view search results for any country, city, county, municipality, location, and language.

Why does my keyword show no position / no data (N/A)?
If a keyword ranks in Google but shows no position or N/A in SE Ranking, the most common reasons are:
- The keyword was recently added. Rankings are available only after the next scheduled ranking check or after a manually started check completes.
- Your website wasn't found within the tracked search depth. SE Ranking records positions only within the configured search depth. Your page may still appear further down in Google's search results.
- The Google results you're viewing are personalized or use a different location. A logged-in Google session, previous search history, or checking from a different location than the one configured in your project can produce different rankings.
To verify the actual position, check the live search results in an incognito window using the exact location tracked in your project, then compare them with the value shown in SE Ranking.
If the discrepancy remains after the project has completed a ranking check, please contact our support team.
