Backlinks FAQ

The Backlink Monitoring module allows to track the backlinks of your website and their parameters. You can manually add all the links, import a list from Google Search Console or any .CSV file. The status of all added links will be checked automatically every week.

The Backlink Checker tool helps you discover the backlinks of any domain/URL, and, if necessary, analyze them against over 15 parameters. The tool works perfectly for the link popularity audit of any domain, including that of your competitors.

To delete backlinks, go to Backlink Monitoring tool, tick the checkmark next to the links you want to delete from the table, then choose the “Delete” option from the upper menu, as shown below.

In the Backlink Checker, the top-line totals (for example, “Referring domains: 2.6K” or “Backlinks: 70.3K”) show the full size of the backlink profile we’ve detected. The tables you can view and export, however, are built from an analysed sample of that profile — not the full set.

“Referring domains analysed” is simply the number of unique domains inside that analysed sample. It is not a separate limit that can be raised on its own — the sample as a whole is bounded by your plan’s backlink-analysis cap (for example, 10,000 analysed backlinks). Because the sample prioritises the strongest referring domains first, a large profile can collapse to only a few dozen analysed domains even when the total shows thousands.

This is also why the analysed-domain count can shift between report refreshes: each run rebuilds the sample. An export that returns roughly 47–60 rows against a 2.6K total is therefore expected behaviour, not a broken export.

To retrieve the complete referring-domain list beyond the analysed sample, use the Data API rather than the in-app report export.
