The MCP (Model Context Protocol) connects SE Ranking and Planable to AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT, so you can pull real data and draft work with plain-language prompts — no coding required. This page gets you connected; the Use cases, Skills library, and Prompt Library sections show you what to do next.
What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that connects an app's data to AI assistants. With the SE Ranking and Planable MCP servers connected, you can talk to your SEO and social data in natural language — inside tools like Claude Desktop, the ChatGPT connector, Gemini CLI, and others.
SE Ranking
Connect SE Ranking MCP
The SE Ranking MCP server is available directly in the connector directories of Claude and ChatGPT, and can be added to other assistants via a custom connection.
- Claude: in Settings → Connectors, add the official SE Ranking connector from the directory and click Connect to authorize.
- ChatGPT: go to Apps → Search apps → SE Ranking → Connect, or open the SE Ranking plugin in ChatGPT.
- Custom connector (any MCP client): add a custom connector with the URL https://api.seranking.com/mcp, name it SE Ranking, and authorize with OAuth or your API key.
Note: The SE Ranking MCP uses your Data API key. See Getting Started with SE Ranking's API for keys and access.
Pick the connection method that fits your setup and follow the step-by-step tutorial below.
Verify it works
In your assistant, run a simple prompt such as "Show me the organic search stats for example.com in the US." A data-backed answer confirms the connection is live.
Planable
Connect Planable MCP
The Planable MCP connects your social workspace to your AI assistant so you can draft and schedule posts by prompt. Setup lives in Planable's own Help Center:
- Claude: in Settings → Connectors, add the official Planable connector and click Connect to authorize.
- ChatGPT: open Apps, search for Planable, and connect it — no manual URL needed, or open the Planable plugin in ChatGPT.
- Custom connector (any MCP client): add a custom connector with the URL https://mcp.planable.io/mcp and name it Planable.
